Fiona turned 10 on Sunday. In some ways, a decade of having her in our lives seems so unbelievable (she's still feels like the swollen-eyed pink baby we brought home from the hospital), and in other ways, I can barely remember my life before her.
When handing the birthday girl the reigns to plan her own party, she chose to go shopping with her best friend on Saturday afternoon, Thai take-out as her birthday dinner of choice that evening, and followed it all up with lemon chiffon cake and vanilla ice cream.
The following day (as seen here) was a wash of wax lips, cake crumbs, wrapping paper, and napping children.

It's been quite a while since I've stopped by. Forgot how much I love you and yours. Will make an effort to stop by more often.
I miss you Dera, oddly enough, since we've never physically met, but true all the same.
