mother's day

everyday is like mother's day really.  they're never stingy with hugs and kisses.  we are rarely not together, me and my girls.  they will take any opportunity to make me food or tea or draw me a card or pick me flowers.  i'm so very blessed.  truly.

BUT.  i don't always wake up to this.

terry made a spring vegetable & goat cheese tart.

and i don't always get flowers delivered with an attached note from my daughter.

fiona bought these with her allowance.  (!)

that night was no different than most.  terry read them the rest of treasure island as i watched them nod off.  

as much as i love a holiday, these everyday moments are the ones that feel the best.
