Post Workday

the new chalet de poulet, compliments of Dad and Terry. Ginger LOVES it, as you can see.

peaking baby snap pea sprouts, said in the most annoying baby voice possible.

already delicious-looking lettuces, basking in early morning light.

and the yard at large. (Although, I confess that I used the camera, not my honest husband, Terry. You will never see my house or yard in full. I'm hiding more than you, Erin!)

I'm green with envy! Your chicken house is smashing! And those ittle bittle baby veggies...oh, my stars!

No worries, we all edge out the unwanted in photos--at least that's what I tell myself.

I love the chicken coop! Will Ginger still get some free range time? I'm proud of Terry and I know your Dad is teaching him so maybe T. will start building furniture soon!?

I'm weeping, It's fantastic! Your dad and Terry did such a great job. I can't believe how fast those little veggies are springing up. Mail me some garden goodness this summer.

Chicken house is GORGEOUS! Sooo exciting...

My boyfriend and I started digging up his backyard yesterday, to be able to plant things... We made some decent progress I think. I got carried away with digging in one direction though, and the "garden plot" looks very much like a plot-plot. As in, the kind you stick dead people in. Yes, quite unfortunate... We're definitely going to need to dig another square coming off of the side so that the neighbors don't get the wrong idea and send the police over to investigate...

BAM! and there it is! i like how it is mobile. are you planning on using it as a 'chicken tractor' in your garden?

the a-frame is pretty much the perfect design for a coop. good job ternse. i'll be you with a tool belt and a pencil behind your ear - you was all sexy!!! probably looked like schneider from 'one day at a time' ( i think i just dated myself with that one).
